Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how FlexyBot handles information when you use the NetScope Android application. NetScope is a diagnostic utility for scanning an authorized local network, checking common TCP ports, measuring response time, resolving DNS records, and calculating IPv4 subnet boundaries.

Data collection

FlexyBot does not collect or receive personal data through NetScope. The app does not include user accounts, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting services, tracking SDKs, or a FlexyBot-operated backend.

Network diagnostics

When you start a diagnostic, NetScope processes information such as IP addresses, host responses, open-port results, DNS answers, subnet details, and response times. This information is used only to display the requested result on your device.

Network tools necessarily send packets to the destination you enter or to devices on the Wi-Fi or Ethernet network you are using. DNS requests are handled by the resolver configured on your device or network. FlexyBot does not receive these requests or results.

You should only scan networks and devices that you own or are authorized to diagnose.

Permissions

NetScope uses Android's Internet permission to perform user-requested network connections and its network-state permission to determine whether a suitable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection is available.

The app does not request access to your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, notifications, or advertising identifier.

Third-party services

NetScope contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or data-collection SDKs. Distribution and installation through Google Play are subject to Google's own privacy practices.

This policy website is hosted by Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may process basic connection information, such as an IP address and request metadata, to deliver and protect this page. That website hosting is separate from the NetScope application. See Netlify's Privacy Statement.

Retention and deletion

Diagnostic results are held in the app's working memory while you use it. NetScope does not upload them to FlexyBot or maintain a cloud history. Closing the app or replacing a result removes that working-session data.

Because NetScope has no accounts and FlexyBot does not hold user data from the app, there is no account or server-side data to delete.

Children

NetScope is a technical utility intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. FlexyBot does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

NetScope minimizes privacy risk by keeping results on-device and by not operating a data backend. No method of software distribution or network communication is completely risk-free, so you should keep Android and NetScope updated and use the app only on trusted networks.

Policy changes

FlexyBot may update this policy when NetScope's functionality or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected before the related app behavior is released.
